Because Chongqing is a prosperous metropolis, it is a coincidence to choose a normal school. So many volunteers filled in a normal college, and the result was really accepted by Southwest Normal University.

I left my hometown with my luggage. This is the first time I really walked into a big city. I am a little excited to think of living in this bustling city for four years. However, when the school bus took me from Jie Fangbei to school, my heart was really cold. The school bus left the main city of Chongqing and traveled for two hours along journey to the south, a winding mountain road on the Jialing River, before reaching the suburb of Chongqing, an urban area called Beibei. Although the scenery on both sides of Jialing River is picturesque, I was really in a bad mood. When I volunteered, I knew that Southwest Normal University was in Beibei District of Chongqing. Who knew this municipal district was so far away from the city?

I said it was a good metropolis, so I didn't. I couldn't see the night view of the mountain city. I thought I really went to a megacity, but I ended up in the suburbs. It is difficult to go to the main city of Chongqing once a semester. Going once is enough to be called "bumpy and long." At that time, it was not easy to go back and forth without expressway. Just entering the school gate of Southwest Normal University, I'm really a little lost. After all, it's really too far from the main city. But this loss is short-lived. I lived in Beibei Town of Southwest Normal University for two months. When I became more and more familiar with this university and this town, I was no longer confused. The environment of Southwest Normal University is really first-class, and it was once selected as one of the top ten most beautiful campuses in China. Beibei District of Chongqing is a famous tourist city in Chongqing. It is quiet, tidy and full of flavor. This is really a good place to study and live. Around Southwest Normal University, Jialing River, Jinyun Mountain, North Hot Springs and Taohua Mountain are full of beautiful poems and paintings. It is enough to study in such an environment, and I am no longer so eager for the skyscrapers and noise of the city. Now, Southwest Normal University and Southwest Agricultural University have merged into Southwest University, with more than 50,000 students, making it one of the largest universities in China. But from the main city of Chongqing to Beibei, expressway is accessible. It used to take two hours to walk by mountain road, but now it takes only a few minutes, and the scale of Chongqing is getting bigger and bigger. Beibei is no longer the outer suburb of Chongqing. I miss my alma mater's four-year life, quiet town and beautiful campus, leaving many warm memories. Thank you Southwest Normal University!
