Shenyang Institute of Physical Education belongs to two universities. Shenyang Institute of Physical Education, formerly known as Northeast Institute of Physical Education, is the only higher physical education institution in Liaoning Province funded by the central and local governments and based on physical education, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines and specialties. It is also a key construction institution of first-class universities in Liaoning Province.
