Tsinghua University China Center for Economic Research (NCER) is an academic and policy research institution, established in Tsinghua University College of Economics and Management, a famous institution of higher learning in China.

1996 China Economic Research Center was formally established. The center is a network of outstanding researchers at home and abroad, who cooperate in academic and policy research, advanced training, consulting and other related professional activities through the center. In addition to providing well-equipped research facilities and providing a national forum for academic activities such as seminars and international conferences, the center also helps its researchers to carry out projects, obtain funds, publish research results and be responsible for the dissemination of academic results.

Different from the traditional research institutions in China, the center has been a think tank since its establishment, attracting a new generation of creative researchers from different backgrounds such as public service departments, financial and industrial departments and academic departments. The center actively develops close ties with the government and industrial departments, and strives to extend its reach to the general public, so that creative academic ideas can be widely spread, thus stepping out of the relatively narrow intellectual class and having a wider impact on China's economy and society. The Committee is responsible for supervising the overall operation of the center. The Advisory Committee provides advice and guidance to the board of directors and the person in charge of the center on a series of professional matters, including the development of research projects, the evaluation of academic achievements of researchers in the center and other academic activities. Liu Guoguang (Liu Guoguang)

Born in June 1923. Currently, he is a special consultant and professor of China Academy of Social Sciences, a member of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), and an adjunct professor of Tsinghua University. He used to be the director and deputy director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. China is a famous economist, whose research fields are mainly socialist economic theory, macro-control and policy.

Wu

/kloc-0 was born in May, 1932, and/kloc-0 graduated from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in 1955. He is currently the director, researcher, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Expert Committee of the National Information Center, part-time professor of Tsinghua University, member of the Economic Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and the Economic Discipline Group of the National Social Science Fund, honorary chairman of China Quantitative Economics Association, chairman of China Information Economics Association and vice chairman of China Information Association. He used to be the director of the Institute of Quantitative and Technical Economics of China Academy of Social Sciences and the deputy director of the National Information Center. China is a famous economist and one of the founders of quantitative economics and information economics.

Wu Jinglian (Wu Jinglian)

1930 was born, 1954 graduated from the Department of Economics of Fudan University. At present, he is a professor at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a senior researcher at the Development Research Center of the State Council, the editor-in-chief of Economic and Social System Comparison magazine, the editor-in-chief of Reform magazine, an adjunct professor at Tsinghua University, a visiting professor at Stanford University, and a member of the International Management Society. He used to be the executive director of the State Council Development Research Center and the deputy director of the State Council Economic Reform Program Seminar Office. A famous economist in China advocates that market economy is one of the main representatives of China's economic system reform.

The director and deputy director are responsible for the main operation and management of the center, and the director and deputy director of the center are concurrently the president of Tsinghua University and the dean of the School of Economics and Management.

The researcher is a senior professional position. Fellows are nominated by the director of the Center, approved by the Tsinghua University Municipal Council, and appointed by the Dean of the School of Economics and Management according to the requirements and standards for the functions of researchers formulated by Tsinghua University and the regulations on academic functions formulated by the State Council and the Ministry of Education.

visiting scholar

Visiting scholar is a position to promote academic exchange for visiting researchers from other research institutions at home and abroad. Visiting scholars are selected according to the application, approved by the director of the center or invited by the researchers of the center.

Honorary researcher

Honorary Academician is an honor awarded to Chinese and foreign scholars who have made outstanding contributions to the study of China's economy or Asia-Pacific economic affairs. In order to ensure the academic freedom and operational autonomy of the Center, the activities of the Center are mainly funded by social donations, supplemented by special funds from Tsinghua University and School of Economics and Management.

According to the agreement, donations can be made to the center at one time or within several years. Grants can be used to support the activities of the center in various fields, and donors can also designate contributions to specific project areas or activities. Depending on the donor's residence, this donation can enjoy tax reduction or exemption. Donors can enjoy a series of special preferential treatment, including free access to the research publications of the center-books, working papers, research reports and newsletters, as well as invitations to participate in academic seminars, social networking activities and other special activities organized by the center. All financial support will be recognized in research publications and public statements of the center. The research projects of the center are mainly decided by researchers. These research projects organically combine abstract theoretical research with practical empirical research, which often reflects the diverse backgrounds and extensive specialties of their researchers. However, the Center actively supports research projects closely related to the ongoing market-oriented reform and economic development in China. Macroeconomics: macroeconomic stability, monetary policy and fiscal policy analysis, economic cycle research;

International economics: foreign trade, exchange rate and capital flow, the role of foreign direct investment, the integration of China's economy with the world economy, including the bilateral relations between China and the United States, China and Japan, the process of Asia-Pacific economic cooperation, and the relations between China and the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank and the World Trade Organization;

Economics of transition: restructuring of state-owned enterprises, property rights system and private sector development in China;

Financial research: theoretical and empirical financial model, risk asset positioning, financial innovation and financial engineering, banking reform, capital market development, prudent supervision of financial business and financial risk prevention;

Labor economics: types and effects of labor transfer, wage determination, urban and rural unemployment;

Public finance: optimal tax theory, public goods theory, tax and expenditure policies, economic effects of government fiscal deficit and national debt, fiscal relations among governments at all levels, and social insurance system;

Research and development: the role of science and technology in economic development, the dynamic relationship between technological progress and productivity improvement, intellectual property issues, and the economic analysis of rejuvenating the country through science and education;
