Ningxia University, referred to as "Ningda", is located in Yinchuan City. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is a national "double-class" university and a national "2 1 1 project" key university. Ningxia University was founded in 1958, with an area of 2,938 mu, a teaching experimental farm 1890 mu, and a school building area of 880,000 square meters. At present, there are 22 colleges, 77 undergraduate majors, 16 autonomous region-level construction disciplines, 7 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 3 1 first-level discipline master programs, 19 professional master degree authorization points and 3 postdoctoral research mobile stations. At present, there are 27 faculty members19 and 258 full-time students, including undergraduates1916, 5020 master students, 54 doctoral students1person, 985 ethnic minority preparatory students.

Ningxia Medical University, located in Yinchuan, is the only higher medical education institution in Ningxia. The school has two campuses, Salt Lake and Shuang Yi, covering an area of *** 1700 mu and a building area of 293,200 square meters. The library has 946 1.52 million books and digital books 1 10,000 kinds. The school has 14 teaching institutions, 13 teaching and research institutions, 14 non-directly affiliated hospitals and 52 teaching practice hospitals. At present, there are four disciplines of medicine, science, management and engineering, 2/kloc-0 undergraduate majors, 5 doctoral degree authorization points, 15 master degree authorization points, and 1 national key laboratory cultivation bases built by the Ministry of Science and Technology. At present, there are more than 7,400 faculty members (including directly affiliated hospitals) and full-time students 1 1645 (including doctors, masters, undergraduates, specialists and international students).

North University for Nationalities, located in Yinchuan. Directly under the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, it is the only university in China that has set up ministries and commissions in minority autonomous regions. The school was founded in 1984, with a total area of 1624 mu and a total construction area of 400,000 square meters. There are 22 colleges, 74 undergraduate majors, 1 first-class doctoral degree authorization points, 9 first-class master degree authorization points, 6500. Faculty 1400, including more than 2 1000 doctoral students, master students, undergraduates and preparatory students, from 3 1 56 nationalities in each province, city and autonomous region.
