The main campuses of Liaoning Normal University and Dalian Jiaotong University are located in huanghe road, Shahekou District, Dalian. These two schools are just across the street. You can take Metro Line 2 (or trolleybus 10 1) at the railway station and get off at Dalian Jiaotong University Station or Liaoning Normal University Station. If you skim the flowers, you should be able to visit it in half a day.

The new campus of Liaoning Normal University is located in Liu Shu, Ganjingzi District. Take the trolley bus 10 1 to Malan Square (you can also walk, about 1500m), then transfer to Bus No.709, and get off at Liaoshi Xishan Campus Station for about 30 minutes. It takes two hours to have a quick look.

The new campus of Dalian Jiaotong University is close to Lushun Development Zone and World Peace Park. There are shuttle buses in the main campus (details: 0411-84106281). If you take public transportation, it will take about 2-3 hours (Baidu map: Dalian Jiaotong University (Shahekou Campus)-Dalian Jiaotong University Lushun Campus-Teaching Building).

It's more effective to visit official website of two schools first, so as to determine the institutions you are interested in, and then visit them.
