Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, referred to as Wushu, is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It is a full-time general institution of higher learning established by the State Sports General Administration and the People's Government of Hubei Province and mainly managed by Hubei Province. Selected as the first batch of "double first-class" universities in Hubei Province.

Wuhan Institute of Physical Education is one of the three major sports universities in China, with complete majors and good academic atmosphere. It is next to East Lake, the largest city in China.
