Xi Anyou University History;

The school was founded in 195 1: Northwest Institute of Petroleum Technology. 1958 changed its name to: Xi 'an Petroleum Institute.

1969 ——1979: the college was converted into a factory and closed. 1980: Xi 'an Petroleum Institute resumed and rebuilt.

2000: It was transferred from China Oil and Gas Group Company to the central and local governments, and was mainly managed by Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
