The School of Mathematics and Computer Science of Hebei University was established in June 2000, which was composed of the former Department of Mathematics and the School of Computer Science. At present, there are teaching and research institutions such as computer science and technology department, mathematics department, information and computing science department, machine learning research center, computer application research institute, computer network research institute and intelligent graphics information processing research institute.

There are five undergraduate majors: computer science and technology, network engineering, software engineering, information and computing science, mathematics and applied mathematics; 6 master's degree programs: computer application technology, computer software and theory, computer system structure, basic mathematics, applied mathematics, operational research and control theory; A provincial key discipline: computer application technology. Among them, computer undergraduate and master programs were established for the first time in colleges and universities in Hebei Province, and computer application technology discipline is the only provincial key discipline in the computer field in Hebei Province. The college has advanced computer basic laboratory, computer principle laboratory, computer network laboratory, software engineering laboratory and cluster laboratory, and has the most advanced 32-node high-performance computer in colleges and universities in Hebei Province.
