Portsmouth University has existed as a higher education center since 1869. It consists of three main campuses and five colleges: Business School, Environment College, Humanities and Social Sciences College and Science and Engineering College. The University of Portsmouth also has a special resource center and two language centers. At present, there are more than 20,000 full-time students in colleges and universities, of which overseas students account for about 14%. The employment rate of graduates in this university (the average of all majors) is 74%, which is about 7% higher than the average employment rate of universities in Britain.
