Department profile

The college has abundant teachers and advanced practice equipment, and has established a new educational model of "school-enterprise integration" with more than 20 domestic first-class enterprises such as JD.COM Group, China Ping An, Qingdao Port Ocean Shipping Group and Weifang Sendamei Port. The college has more than 0 first-class digital software training places 10 in China. The teaching mode of "teaching+practice" and the learning mode of "theory+practice" have achieved remarkable results.

The College cooperates with "2 1 1" and "985" national key universities China Ocean University to train students. Students in our college can apply to China Ocean University for further study and train more than 500 students for four consecutive years. More than 36% of students have obtained undergraduate diplomas through overseas exchanges and training.

National and provincial competitions have won numerous awards. The proportion of students who can get a bachelor's degree at school is 40%. In 20 18 and 20 19, more than two students successfully obtained full-time master's degrees. Upon graduation, the passing rate of vocational qualification certificate reached 93%.

Shandong Maritime Vocational College is the first mixed-ownership vocational college approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government, which is led by Weifang Municipal People's Government and organized by social forces.

The school is the pilot unit of mixed ownership reform in Shandong vocational colleges, the chairman and secretary-general unit of the National Research Alliance of Mixed Ownership in Vocational Education, the joint training cooperation unit of China Ocean University, the advanced unit of college students' recruitment in Shandong Province, the reserve base of professional and technical soldiers in Shandong Province and the second batch of information-based teaching pilot units announced by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education.

The school is located in Weifang, the world kite capital, on the coast of Bohai Sea and Laizhou Bay, adjacent to Weifang Port, a national first-class open port, and Bailanghe Yacht Tourist Terminal. The school covers an area of 822 mu, with a building area of 286,000 square meters and teaching equipment worth more than 94.7 million yuan.
