South China Normal University, referred to as "China Normal University" for short, has its main campus in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. It is a university approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, and is a national "double-class" construction university. The school, formerly known as Teachers College of Li Qin University, was founded in 1933. 1935 changed its name to Qinqin University College of Education, which experienced the development period of Guangdong Provincial College of Education, Guangdong University of Arts and Sciences and Guangdong University of Arts and Sciences.
