Journalism and communication majors enroll students according to major categories, and fully implement the "2+2" teaching reform program. All students will study professional general courses in the first two years, and then they can choose one of the four majors (directions) for the next two years according to their own specialties, interests and social needs. From grade 20 1 1, students no longer report journalism and communication, but journalism and advertising.
The college attaches great importance to practical teaching and the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality and ability, explores the establishment of "one vertical and three horizontal" professional practice mode, cultivates the characteristics and highlights of practical teaching, and insists on unified arrangement of professional practice, making practical teaching scientific, standardized and effective. Graduates are widely distributed in major domestic media such as People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, china national radio, China Radio International, China Youth Daily, Guangzhou Daily Newspaper Group, Shenzhen Special Zone Newspaper Group and Hunan TV Station. In the past three years, the initial employment rate of graduates has been above 95%, and more than 60 graduates have been sent to China Renmin University, Fudan University, Wuhan University, China Communication University, Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Baptist University and other famous schools to study. Students who graduated from the performance department gradually became active in film and television dramas and art groups, and became the fresh blood of the art world.
