Tarim University, located in Alar City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is the first batch of undergraduate colleges with the right to award bachelor's degrees approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. The admission score of the college is relatively low, and students can generally be admitted as long as they study hard.
The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Tarim Agricultural University. He was awarded a master's degree in 2003. In May 2004, it was renamed Tarim University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
