The most interesting thing is that the index of "China High Contributing Scholars" is put forward for the first time in China, and the index of "highly cited scholars" is abandoned, thus resolutely breaking the bad value orientation of "only papers" in university evaluation. China's colleges and universities have entered a new era of "making contributions and offering wisdom".

Experts point out that becoming a truly world-class university depends on the academic achievements of its teachers and the career achievements of its alumni, on its practical contribution to national prosperity, social progress and world civilization, and on its responsibility in promoting the realization of "prosperity with * * *", not on the size of its students and the number of papers.

The 2022 Alumni Association China University ranking evaluation index system is adjusted as follows:

1. Optimize and adjust the weight setting of the three-level evaluation index, and set the weight to 1 cycle within five years, so as to highlight the sustainable development ability of China universities, guide China universities to accelerate the construction of "double first-class" and enhance their core competitiveness.

2. Increase the index weight of ideological and political education and guide colleges and universities to put ideological and political education in the first place in talent training. Increase the national textbook construction award, China economics textbooks, Marx, Engels and Lenin's important expositions on philosophy and social sciences and various disciplines. Increase the school funding index and delete the research funding index.

3. Increase the index weight of charitable donation, add the index of "alumni charitable donation", and advocate China universities to guide outstanding alumni to respond to the national call and actively participate in promoting "prosperity with * * *".

4. Among the indicators of "high-level talents", the indicator of "China High Contribution Scholars" was added for the first time in China, and talents were evaluated according to teachers' outstanding contributions in education, teaching, academic research and social services. Highly cited scholars based on foreign papers will no longer be regarded as evaluation observation points, and the bad value orientation of "only papers" in the evaluation of ranked talents in China universities will be resolutely broken, and the academic level, innovative quality and practical contribution of scholars in China universities will be highlighted.
