Xi 'an University of Science and Technology was founded in 1956, located in Xi City, Shaanxi Province. It is a key university and a high-level applied university. The school covers an area of about 2775 mu, with a modern campus, complete scientific research facilities and advanced teaching equipment. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Coal Industry and the Ministry of Education of China. The "2 1 1 Project" was initiated by China Municipal Government 1995 to promote the development of higher education in China and improve the international competitiveness of universities. The plan selected 65,438+000 universities and key disciplines with all the potential to finance their development. Its name comes from a three-digit number, the first number represents the central government, and the second and third numbers represent local governments.
