Nanjing Forestry University, Lin Nan for short, is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. It is a provincial key university jointly established by the State Forestry Administration and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is the first batch of "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction universities in China, and has been selected into the first batch of "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan", "Characteristic Key Discipline Project" and "201/Collaborative Innovation Center" in Jiangsu Province. As a member of fifteen key construction universities in Jiangsu Province, it has become a multi-disciplinary university featuring forestry, taking advantages of resources, ecology and environment, and has disciplines such as science, engineering, agriculture, literature, management, economics, philosophy, law and art. Forestry, forestry engineering and landscape architecture rank among the top five in the third round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education.
The school was formerly known as the Forestry Department of Central University and the Forestry Department of Jinling University. Nanjing Forestry College was merged from 65438 to 0952, which was one of the only three forestry colleges in China at that time.
