University tuition:
There are universities in ordinary countries.
Due to the different nature and specialty of the school, the tuition fees of one or two state-owned universities in China are generally between 3500 and 6000 yuan, and generally will not exceed 1 10,000 yuan. Common charging standards are: 3600 yuan/year, 4200 yuan/year, 4500 yuan/year, 4800 yuan/year, 5000 yuan/year, 5200 yuan/year, etc.
For example, 202 1, the top university in Peking University, some majors only pay 5,300 yuan a year, such as electronic information and biological sciences, and some majors pay 5,000 yuan a year.
I believe that most ordinary families can afford such tuition. The tuition fees of state-owned universities are relatively low, mainly because the running funds of state-owned universities are supported by the state, and only a small part comes from the tuition fees of students. This also ensures that the children of most ordinary families in China can afford to go to university and get a good university.
Three private universities and independent colleges
Private universities and independent colleges, which we usually call three universities, are much more expensive than state-owned universities, generally between 10000-20000 yuan/year. This is because the funds for running private universities and independent colleges mainly come from tuition fees and are slightly profitable. Therefore, if the tuition fee is set too low, the school cannot maintain its operation and development.
