Zhengzhou University is a 2 1 1 university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the local government.
There are more than 5,700 faculty members in the school, including 6 academicians of the two academies/KLOC-0 and 4 overseas academicians. There are 8 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 24 candidates for the National "Hundred Million Talents Project", 747 professors with doctorates and 249/kloc-0 teachers, forming a talent team led by academicians and academic masters, with "Jieqing" and "Changjiang" as academic leaders and young doctors as the backbone.
Academician of China Academy of Sciences is the dean of the School of Earth Science and Technology, Academician He Jilin of China Academy of Engineering is the dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering and Henan Institute of Resources and Materials Industry Technology, Academician of China Academy of Engineering is the dean of the Institute of Underground Engineering, and Academician of British Academy of Medical Sciences and Foreign Academician of China Academy of Engineering Nick Lemmon is the dean of Zhengzhou University's Academy of Medical Sciences.
Liu Qingzhu, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, is the dean of the School of History and the Central Plains Institute of History and Culture (School of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage), and Jin Bei, a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, is the dean of the Business School. Mr Nan Zhong Zhen and Mr Zhang Hai teach in our school.
