When was Fudan University founded?
Founded in 1905, funded by China Catholic Father Ma in Jiangwan. It is called Fudan because Ma was forced to hand it over to the Sinian College of the French Catholic Church for "restoration", which means "recovering my Sinian", or Fudan for short.

Encyclopedia often records that Fudan is the first independent institution of higher learning in China, but this is actually false. The earliest institutions of higher learning founded by China people were Beiyang College, namely Tianjin University founded by Sheng Xuanhuai, Minister of Westernization in the late Qing Dynasty, in Tianjin on 1896, and Nanyang College established in Shanghai a few months later, namely Shanghai Jiaotong University.

I don't know why, but the title "The first China was founded by myself" has not been corrected.
