Tianjin Normal University was founded in 1958 and formerly known as Tianjin Normal University. The history of normal education inherited by the school can be traced back to Beiyang Normal School established in 1906, Tianjin Technology and Business University established in 192 1 and Tianjin Normal School established in 1930. 1982 was renamed Tianjin Normal University. 1In April, 1999, the former Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin Normal University and Tianjin Institute of Education merged to form a new Tianjin Normal University.
