In 2006, Durant entered the University of Texas. Throughout the 2006-2007 season, Durant got 390 rebounds, which was the third highest rookie rebounding record in NCAA at that time. After the regular season, Durant was easily elected as the best college player of the year by the Associated Press, and also won the naismith Prize and the Wood Prize. In his junior year, Curry completed the transition from offensive guard to point guard, averaging 28.6 points and leading the United States, and also contributed 4.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.5 steals. He surpassed the legendary John Gatti and became the scoring king in the history of davidson college. He scored 42 points against Oklahoma with Blake Griffin and set a new NCAA single-game scoring record. In 2009, Curry participated in the NBA draft, and has been playing for the Warriors since he entered the NBA with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2009 draft.
