Private Huagang Art School in Taipei is a senior middle school located in Taipei, Taiwan Province Province. Huagang Art School currently has five subjects: China Music, Western Music, Dance, Drama and Performing Arts. It is the only pure art high school with a long history in Taiwan Province.
Huagang Art School is famous for cultivating many artists, and its famous alumni include Jimmy Lin, Rainie Yang, Xu Weilun, Gini, Cyndi Wang, Sun Shumei, Huang Hongsheng, Barbie Hsu and Xu Xidi.

Huagang Art School was originally attached to Huagang Middle School of Culture University. 1975, Dr. Zhang Qiyun, founder of Culture University, completed the restructuring of Huagang Middle School. At the beginning, there were four subjects: China Music, Western Music, Dance and China Drama. 1986 Chinese opera was changed into drama, which was divided into two groups: Chinese opera and shadow opera. 1987, China Repertory Theatre closed. In 2000, the Department of Performing Arts was added. In 2003, Chinese opera stopped enrolling students. In 2008, the alto department and the film and television drama merged.
