The problem of the topic is domestic exchange students, that is, studying and living in other schools in China for one or two semesters (generally not more than one year). For example, as a student of Sun Yat-sen University, going to Fudan as an exchange student obviously has the advantage of experiencing the learning atmosphere of different schools, different school spirit and style of study, and feeling the influence of local humanities. In addition, you can make more new friends and expand your contacts and horizons. These are all benefits.
But in fact, as I said in the example, there are not many exchange students between CUHK and Fudan. Give another extreme example. Peking University and Tsinghua will never exchange students. Why? Because it is meaningless, the two universities are so close that they want to have classes directly. What else do they exchange? Therefore, most domestic exchange students go to Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province and other "special" areas. When I was a college roommate, I went to Taiwan Province Province as an exchange student for one semester, so I heard a lot about the disadvantages of exchange students.
The first problem is the geographical gap. Compatriots in Taiwan Province Province and Hongkong are not all friendly to mainland exchange students. This can also be substituted into my original examples, CUHK and Fudan. Why do I cite these two universities? It is precisely because some compatriots in Guangzhou and Shanghai also have a certain "regional special mentality"-I won't go into details here. In short, it is the advantage of exchange students to develop contacts, which is not easy to implement.
Then there is the difference between living habits and teaching level. After my roommate came back from Taiwan Province Province, it was difficult to keep up with the study of mathematics and physics for a long time. What is more passive is that some of the credits and grades she got in Taiwan Province Province were not recognized by our school, which undoubtedly affected her grade point.
Finally, there are additional economic expenditures. My roommate went to Taiwan Province Province for one semester, and it was conservatively estimated that it cost 50,000 yuan. Because of the good conditions at home, she is also willing to spend this money to broaden her horizons, but in fact, the gains are not as much as expected. It can be said that there is some imbalance between income and expenditure, and she also wrote down this account in her heart.
So to sum up, before you become an exchange student, you must make an expected evaluation, communicate with experienced seniors and sisters more, and make a decision after thinking it over.
