Xia Kun's introduction
Xia Kun, male, born in April of 197 1, is a doctor, professor, director of the State Key Laboratory of Medical Genetics of Central South University, dean of the School of Life Sciences of Central South University, an expert enjoying special government allowance from the State Council, and chief scientist of 973. In 2003, he was supported by Hunan Outstanding Youth Fund. The main research direction is the location, cloning, gene function research and gene therapy of human hereditary diseases. 65438-0998, led by Academician Xia Jiahui, participated in the cloning of GJB3, a pathogenic gene of hereditary nervous deafness, and achieved a breakthrough in the cloning of genetic diseases in China. Subsequently, as the main person in charge, five new genetic disease sites were located.
