Significant academic achievements have been made in many important fields of genetics, statistics and biology, such as functional mapping theory, application of functional mapping, combination model of linkage and linkage imbalance, polyploid linkage analysis and QTL mapping, DNA sequence analysis of complex traits, quantitative genetic theory and its application in forest breeding, construction of molecular markers and genetic maps, statistical model of gene mapping, etc. Supported by the US Department of Agriculture, the US National Natural Science Foundation and the Overseas Young Scholars Cooperative Research Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation (in cooperation with Nanjing Forestry University).
Published academic papers 128 in the research fields of statistical methods of molecular genetics, statistical inference of quantitative genetics, quantitative molecular genetics, classical quantitative genetics, population genetics and comprehensive biology. Among them, SIC and other retrieval systems have collected 100 papers and published monographs 1 department.
