Introduction to 985 University:

985 University is also called a world-class university: 1998. On May 4th, the then president announced to the whole society at the celebration meeting of the 0/00th anniversary of the founding of Peking University: "In order to realize modernization, China should have a number of world-class universities". As it was put forward by/kloc-0 in May, 1998, it was named 985 University. The social recognition of 985 University is very high, even higher than 2 1 1 University. Of course, all 985 universities are also 2 1 1 universities. At present, 42 world-class universities in the proposed double-class universities are composed of all 39 985 universities plus Xinjiang University, Yunnan University and Zhengzhou University.
