Five years later, the level of teachers' scientific research is comparable to that of famous universities such as Tokyo University, Tsinghua and Peking University, and it is first-class in Asia. West Lake University plans to set up a school of life sciences (including biology and basic medicine), a school of science and an engineering school, giving priority to the formation of three major categories of medicine, science and engineering 12 first-class disciplines.
