Pre-university majors: English, computer, Chinese, mathematics, history, ideological and political education, physics, chemistry and other courses. Pre-university refers to the pre-university classes in addition to formal teaching courses. In China, it usually refers to ethnic preparatory classes, which is a policy of appropriately lowering scores and selecting the best candidates for ethnic minorities. There are 140 ethnic preparatory colleges in China.
The compulsory courses are college Chinese (intensive Chinese reading course in Xinjiang class), elementary mathematics, advanced mathematics, English, computer, pre-college entrance examination education, ethnic theory and ethnic policy, Mandarin as an elective course for liberal arts, college basic physics and college basic chemistry as an elective course for science, and physical education as an elective course for arts and sciences.
