Main venues

National Stadium (Bird's Nest)

The main stadium of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is also commonly known as the "Bird's Nest" because of its unique shape. During the Olympic Games, the stadium has 654.38+million seats, which are used to hold the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games, as well as track and field and football competitions.

The National Stadium started construction on February 24, 2003, and was suspended on July 30, 2004 due to design adjustment. Resumption of work on February 27th, 2008 was completed in March, 2008. The total project cost is 2.267 billion yuan.

National Swimming Center (Water Cube)

Located in Beijing Olympic Park, one of the landmark buildings of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Hold a swimming competition.

The planned construction land of the National Swimming Center is 62,950 square meters, with a total construction area of 65,000-80,000 square meters, of which the underground construction area is not less than15,000 square meters, and the length, width and height are177m× 30m respectively.

National Stadium (folding fan)

It is one of the three main venues of the Beijing Olympic Games. The National Gymnasium mainly undertakes competitive gymnastics, trampoline and handball during the Olympic Games.

Located next to the West Fifth Ring Road in Beijing, with a total land area of about 6.45 hectares and a construction area of over 47,000 square meters (including temporary stands), it is one of the main newly-built competition venues for the Beijing Olympic Games, including qualifying venues, finals venues, permanent ammunition depots and outdoor supporting facilities. Mainly engaged in shooting sports.

Wukesong gymnasium

Located in the northeast corner of Wukesong Bridge on the West Fourth Ring Road, adjacent to Wukesong Station of Metro 1 Line, with a construction area of 63,000 square meters, it is divided into the competition floor (where the venue is located), the first floor, the box floor and the third floor, which can accommodate the audience 1.8 million people. It is the venue for basketball events in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Laoshan bike competition center

Located on the west side of the bicycle and fencing management center base of Laoshan State Sports General Administration, Shijingshan District, Beijing, the newly acquired land is about 6.6 hectares, with a total construction area of 32,920 square meters and a track perimeter of 250 meters, with 6,000 spectators, including 3,000 temporary seats. Mainly engaged in indoor cycling.

Olympic rowing park

The project was built for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which lasted for 7 months and completed the design process in two stages. Olympic Water Park is located on the Chaobai River in Ma Po Town, Shunyi District, covering an area of 302.7 square kilometers. It is the venue for all rowing and rowing events in the 29th Olympic Games in 2008.

China Agricultural University Gymnasium

Located in East Campus of China Agricultural University, Tsinghua East Road 17, Haidian District, Beijing. During the Olympic Games, there will be 8,000 seats, including 6,000 permanent seats and 2,000 temporary seats. Located in the southeast of Peking University, adjacent to Zhongguancun Street, the planned land area is about 17 100 square meters, with a total construction area of 26,900 square meters, which can accommodate 8,000 spectators. Mainly engaged in table tennis.

Located in the campus of University of Science and Technology Beijing, No.30 Xueyuan Road, Haidian District. The total construction land of the project is about 2.38 hectares, with a total construction area of 24,662 square meters. Mainly undertake judo and taekwondo projects.

Located in the southeast of Chaoyang District, Beijing, with a total construction area of about 34,383 square meters and about 654.38+0.5 million seats during the Games. Mainly engaged in badminton and rhythmic gymnastics.

Located in the south of the National Olympic Sports Center, it has 5748 seats and a total construction area of 25300 square meters. It mainly undertakes five modernization projects.

Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium

Located in the National Olympic Sports Center, the renovation area is 43,000 square meters, and the expansion area is 44 10 square meters. Mainly responsible for handball preliminaries and 1/4 finals.

Workers ' stadium

Located in the North Road of Workers Stadium, Chaoyang District, Beijing, it covers an area of 35 hectares with a building area of over 80,000 square meters. Mainly undertakes football matches.

Beijing shooting range UFO shooting range

The former shooting and archery management center of the State Sports General Administration is located in Shijingshan District, Beijing. The building area is 6170m2, with 5,000 seats, including fixed seats 1047 and temporary seats 3,953. It mainly undertakes six events such as men's and women's skeet bidirectional, multidirectional and double multidirectional competitions.

It starts from Yongdingmen and ends at Juyongguan, with a total length of 103.9 km. The venue for the road cycling race.

Chaoyang park beach volleyball court

Located in Chaoyang Park, Beijing, with a building area of 14 150 square meters. Mainly engaged in beach volleyball.

BMX racing field

Mainly undertake some bicycle projects.

Triathlon venue

Located in and around the Ming Tombs Reservoir in Changping, it mainly undertakes triathlon.

Places outside Beijing

Qingdao International Sailing Centre

The original site of Beihai Shipyard is located on the bank of Fushan Bay in Qingdao East New District, adjacent to May 4th Square and Donghai Road. Covers an area of 45 hectares. Mainly engaged in sailing projects.

Hong Kong Olympic Racecourse

The Hong Kong Sports Institute is located at No.25 Yuanhe Road, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is a 100m x 80m all-weather sand court. Mainly undertake equestrian events.

Shanghai Stadium

Located at No.666, Tianyaoqiao Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, it covers an area of 6.5438+0.9 million square meters and has a building area of 6.5438+0.7 million square meters. Mainly undertakes football matches.

Tianjin Olympic Stadium
