Donghua Institute of Technology is a multidisciplinary university with geoscience advantages and nuclear discipline characteristics, which is jointly established by Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, Ministry of Land and Resources and China National Nuclear Corporation. The school was founded by the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources in Shanxi in 1956, and moved to Fuzhou, Jiangxi in September 1959. It successively belongs to the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, the Second Machinery Department, the Ministry of Nuclear Industry and China National Nuclear Corporation.
