Shenzhen University has five functional departments: Training Department, Propaganda Department, Human Resources Department, Project Department and Office.

The training department is a department with team training as its main function, and also has the functions of planning, executing and hosting the training of the volunteer union party, which can best reflect the image of Shenzhen University volunteers. In addition to these routine functions, the department also holds a special volunteer activity-cultural volunteers.

Propaganda Department is one of the five directly affiliated departments of Shenzhen University Volunteer Union, and it is the window for Shenzhen University Volunteer Union to go out of campus and face the society. Responsible for the image and promotion of Shenzhen University Volunteer Union, and its function is to publicize, record and report its activities. The propaganda department is responsible for the pre-project promotion, publicity, follow-up report and post-data collection, sorting and summary of volunteer alliance activities, and shaping the image of volunteer alliance. For example, responsible for the production of posters and videos of the Volunteer Alliance, the editing and publishing of red vests, and the media management of the Volunteer Alliance website.
