Jiangnan University, located in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, is a university with the characteristics of light industry higher education directly under the Ministry of Education of China, and is known as the "Pearl of Light Industry Higher Education". The school originated from Sanjiang Normal School, founded in 1902, and experienced the development period of National Central University and Nanjing University. 1952 the food industry department of Nanjing institute of technology (now southeast university) was established by relevant departments of Nanjing university, Fudan university, Wuhan university, Zhejiang university and Jiangnan university. 1958 The whole department moved eastward to Wuxi to establish Wuxi Institute of Light Industry, and 1995 changed its name to Wuxi Institute of Light Industry. 200 1 1 With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Wuxi University of Light Industry, Jiangnan College and Wuxi Institute of Education merged to form Jiangnan University; In 2003, Donghua University Wuxi Campus was merged into Jiangnan University.
