First, basic vocabulary

Many of the basic vocabulary of CET-4 were learned in high school. Most students know these words and they are easy to recite. The focus of these words is to master the uncommon meaning and correct usage.

Second, the core vocabulary.

There are more than 2000 core words in CET-4. These words are the favorites of Band 4, which mainly appear in reading comprehension. Perhaps because of their favorite reasons, their meanings are relatively fixed and they will not be disguised at will.

So our starting point is to infer the general idea through the shape of the core vocabulary. There are many ways to memorize core words, including association, root affixes, pictures, context and so on.

Third, super-class vocabulary

The proportion of super words in the exam should not exceed 3%. Although the proportion of super-class words is very small, they often appear as smoke bombs in reading, which makes people feel afraid of exams. However, it is not a test center, because the super-class vocabulary is basically related to a certain style and major, such as economic vocabulary, scientific vocabulary (network communication, geography and astronomy, biomedicine), humanistic vocabulary (social life, history and culture, politics and law), emotional attitude (negative attitude, positive attitude) and so on.
