Can college students buy student tickets by plane?
College students can't buy student tickets by plane. Air tickets mainly include full-price tickets/discount tickets, first class/business class tickets, children's tickets/baby tickets and connecting tickets, excluding student tickets. Therefore, college students can't buy student tickets by plane unless the airlines have preferential activities for students, but such opportunities are rare.

Civil Aviation Online reminds everyone that although we all know that trains, high-speed trains and bullet trains can buy student tickets at a certain discount, most airlines do not offer student tickets at present, and some passengers aged between 12-23 can enjoy discounts ranging from 20 to 30. Therefore, if students want to fly, they usually buy tickets according to the standard of adult tickets or according to some discounts on fares.

According to Article 20 of the Regulations on Railway Passenger Transport, students should study in ordinary institutions of higher learning, junior colleges (including private universities with academic qualifications approved by the national education authorities), military academies, primary and secondary schools and technical schools.

Students and graduate students who have no wage income and their family residence and school are not in the same city can enjoy half-price hard seat tickets, urgent tickets and air-conditioned tickets between their families and universities four times a year with their student ID cards (which can be proved in writing by primary school students) stamped with the official seal of the university. Freshmen buy student tickets with the admission notice, and graduates buy them with the written certificate of the school.
