College was founded in 1952, formerly known as China People's Liberation Army Air Defense School and Radar School. 1983 was renamed as the PLA Air Force Radar Academy, 1992 was upgraded to a military academy, and it was confirmed as an intermediate military vocational education college in 2004. On 20/kloc-0, it was renamed and rebuilt with the approval of the Central Military Commission.
