Tourism problems of Xiamen University
Dear, Xiamen University is open to the public all day during the summer vacation. However, considering that there are many tourists and it is summer, if you don't want to line up in the scorching sun, it is recommended to go to Xiamen University early (7-8 o'clock).

It is recommended to enter from the West Village of Xiamen University in the morning, because as soon as you enter the West Village Gate (Qunxian Gate), you can see that the buildings with the most historical and Jiageng characteristics in Xiamen University-Qunxian Building Group, Qunxian Building Group, Jiannan Building Group and Furong Building Group *** 18 have been listed as national key cultural relics protection units. The so-called Jiageng feature, that is, the combination of Chinese and western, refers to the architectural layout of each building group consisting of a main building in the middle and two buildings on both sides, which embodies China's five elements theory; The combination of Chinese and western means that the upper part of the building is dovetail ridge, red brick building and glazed tile with southern Fujian characteristics, and the lower part is western-style marble drywall and Roman column. At first, Mr. Chen Jiageng, the owner of the school, designed this to show that the people of China will eventually trample westerners under their feet (the school was founded during the period when western powers carved up China and oppressed China).

After reading the Qunxian buildings, you will see a disk, which is the intersection of five roads. From the hand-drawn map, it looks like the center of a dragon. From the disc, you can see the Jiannan Auditorium, that is, the Jiannan building complex. The Jiannan Auditorium is magnificent, facing south and facing the sea. The Great Hall of the People was the largest auditorium in China before its completion, and now it is the second auditorium in China. Large-scale activities of Xiamen University are usually held in it. Since 1930, Chen Jiageng has inspected and supervised it five times, and also dispatched steel and stone materials from yingtan-xiamen railway for construction. With the help of his son-in-law Mr. Li Guangqian, it was finally built at 1954. If you are lucky, you can still hear the bells of Jiannan. Students of Xiamen University go to and from school listening to the bell. However, there seems to be no bell ringing in summer.

After seeing Jiannan complex, you can go back to the original road, turn back to the Science and Technology Art Center, and then look west at Furong complex. Although there are five Furong buildings, they are not as neat as Jiageng buildings, Qunxian buildings and Jiannan buildings, but distributed around Furong Lake. However, considering that the four buildings are similar, we can look at one. Walking westward from the Science and Art Center, we first saw the Anthropology Museum of Xiamen University founded by Mr. Lin Yutang and Mr. Lu Xun in 1926, and the third Institute of Chinese Studies in China after Tsinghua of Peking University. Later, because Mr. Lu Xun collected a lot of anthropological cultural relics, it was transformed into an anthropological museum, and it was also the first anthropological museum in China University. The treasure of the town hall is a map of the early Qing Dynasty, which records the territorial division of the Qing Dynasty. If you want to visit the museum, you must go to work on weekdays. If there are many people, there will be a special commentator in the museum to explain.

After seeing the Anthropology Museum, you can see the Furong Building Complex-Furong No.1, which is the teaching building of Xiamen University, all equipped with air conditioning. After reading it, you can go north, turn to Furong Lake and walk around the lake. In the central square of the lake, you can have a panoramic view of Jiageng buildings. But personally, I don't think the Jiageng Building in our headquarters is as good-looking as Zhangzhou Campus. After reading it, you can go to Furong No.2 Middle School, because Furong No.2 Middle School and Furong No.3 Middle School are different from Furong No.14 Middle School.

At this point, it can be regarded as the best part of Xiamen University. If you still have time and energy, you can go to Baicheng, don't leave the school gate, and turn in the direction of Xiamen University Kindergarten, which is the direction of Art College of Law School, because you can see the best sea view of Xiamen University next to Xiamen University Kindergarten, and then you can go to Furong Restaurant for dinner. Xiamen University's restaurants are: Yifu Building Chinese and Western Restaurant; The third floor of Furong Building. There are also many tourists on the third floor of Furong. If you have plenty of pockets, it is recommended to go to Yifu Building, which is more expensive but the environment is excellent. Next to the Furong Restaurant is the Furong Tunnel, which contains graffiti designed by students of Xiamen University. However, in recent years, many uncivilized tourists' words about this trip have damaged individual paintings, and even if there are relevant volunteers to supervise the behavior of uncivilized tourists, it has been repeatedly banned.

And Siyuan Valley. You can also have a look if you have time. The area of that lake is more than three times that of Furong Lake. There is a wooden plank road by the lake and a path leading directly to Xiamen University Golf Driving Range.

If you feel that time is limited, you can stop here. After the second film "Furong" is finished, walk along Furong Lake to Yifu Building, and then go north to the south gate of Xiamen University (this is the northernmost gate of Xiamen University, so it is called the south gate because it is next to Nanputuo). Going out is Nanputuo.

If you don't have any plans in the afternoon, you can come out of Baicheng school after dinner and rent a car to ride around the island, which is the most beautiful marathon track in the world. If it is sunny, the scenery will be better.

Having said that, it is impossible without the hand-drawn map of Xiamen University. It is suggested that buying online is more affordable. Compare these places I mentioned with the map, and I believe you can see them at a glance. All in all, I wish you a pleasant stay in Xiamen University!
