English requirements for studying in Canada
As English and French are used in Canada, students applying to study in Canada must find out which language is used in the school to avoid unnecessary troubles caused by language barriers. Generally, schools that teach in English require applicants to have a certain English foundation. Both undergraduate and graduate students (including some adult education) require TOEFL scores (or other English scores). The admission criteria are generally TOEFL 550 for undergraduates and TOEFL 580 for postgraduates. However, this achievement is a requirement for obtaining basic entrance qualifications, not a condition for obtaining scholarships. Although the English requirements of undergraduates are lower than those of postgraduates, the language level actually used by undergraduates in class is not low. Sometimes, it is more difficult for international students studying in graduate schools to choose some undergraduate courses. Because undergraduates have to take exams besides listening to extracurricular activities. Exams are generally time-limited. If the language ability does not reach a certain level, even if you master the knowledge you have learned, it is difficult to get good grades or even fail. Graduate students generally do not use the method of closed-book examination in a limited time, but write small papers in stages. Although the difficulty is not low, there is plenty of time. If the current language level can not meet the requirements, you can also consider taking a preparatory class first. You don't need TOEFL to attend preparatory classes, but you should grade students according to their actual level. After graduating from the preparatory class, I entered the professional study.
