1. Understand the general situation of China University through classification.
Professor Sun Dongdong, Peking University, divided the national colleges and universities into the following five categories, which is of great practical significance to help students and parents grasp and understand the colleges and universities as a whole when filling in their volunteers.
Comprehensive universities: represented by Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jilin University, Nankai University, Shandong University, Sichuan University, Lanzhou University and Xiamen University. These universities have a long history, complete categories of science and engineering, humanities and medicine, infiltration of arts and sciences, and profound cultural heritage.
Engineering-oriented comprehensive universities: represented by Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi Jiaotong University and Tongji University. These universities are strong in engineering, but relatively weak in science foundation and humanities and social sciences.

Normal universities: represented by Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Northeast Normal University, Central China Normal University, South China Normal University and Shaanxi Normal University. As a comprehensive university, its teaching level and scientific research strength often exceed those of the same batch of quasi-comprehensive universities. Such colleges and universities have successively set up non-normal majors.
Professional colleges: such as medicine, art, sports, military, police, etc. This kind of colleges and universities have strong professionalism and clear training objectives. To apply for this kind of university, we should give full consideration to the talents, specialties and interests of candidates.
The above five types of universities have different development processes, different advantages and characteristics, and different training objectives and curriculum settings. These are all things that need to be carefully analyzed and considered when filling in the volunteers. I hope you don't ignore them.
2. 100 list of universities
More than 800 colleges and universities enroll students in Beijing every year. Colleges and universities in Beijing can be roughly divided into three echelons according to the admission scores.
The first echelon ("aircraft carrier"): Peking University and Tsinghua University are top universities in China and have certain international competitiveness.
Second echelon (first echelon): Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, university of international business and economics, China University of Political Science and Law, University of Science and Technology Beijing, beijing university of chemical technology, Beijing Jiaotong University, peking university health science center, China Renmin University, China Communication University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, beijing language and culture university and Central University of Finance and Economics. The third echelon (two schools): capital university of economics and business, Beijing Technology and Business University, Beijing Information Science and Technology University, Beijing Institute of Materials, north china university of technology (the admission scores of the above schools are relatively high); Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and Beijing Institute of Printing (these schools have low admission scores, but the main majors have good conditions for running schools, and the teaching has characteristics and advantages).
