Suzhou University in Suzhou and Yangzhou University in Yangzhou have been the main forces of the second batch of universities in Jiangsu Province, each with several large campuses.

Changzhou, Changzhou University, formerly known as Jiangsu Institute of Petrochemical Technology or Jiangsu Institute of Technology, is an institution. Hohai University, an independent college, also has a branch called Changzhou Campus of Hohai University.

There is a Jiangnan University in Wuxi, and the liberal arts is better.
