North China Electric Power University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and also a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". In 20 17, the school entered the ranks of national "double first-class" universities, focusing on the discipline construction of energy and electric power science and engineering, and started a new journey of building a world-class discipline and a high-level research university.

The school has 67 undergraduate majors, including School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Energy Power and Mechanical Engineering, School of Control and Computer Engineering, school of economics and management, School of New Energy, School of Nuclear Science and Engineering, School of Mathematics and Physics, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Foreign Languages, School of Marxism, School of Energy Internet and School of Artificial Intelligence.

For more than half a century, the school has carried the historical mission of cultivating high-quality talents and promoting scientific and technological progress for the national energy and electric power industry.
