Jilin University Library, formerly known as Northeast Administrative College Library, was founded in Harbin, 1946. 1952 was renamed the Library of Northeast Renmin University. 1958 changed its name to Jilin University Library. In 2000, the former Jilin University, Jilin University of Technology, Bethune Medical University, changchun university of science and technology and Changchun University of Posts and Telecommunications merged to form a new Jilin University, and the libraries of the former five universities were also merged. Jilin Agricultural University Library was founded on 1948.
