The full name of PLA Air Force Engineering University is Air Force Engineering University. It is a senior military academy under the leadership of the Central Military Commission and the Party Committee of the Air Force. It is a comprehensive national key university integrating engineering, literature, management, science, law and military. It is one of the five comprehensive universities and open colleges built by the whole army. It is also one of the key institutions in the "2 1 10 Project" of the army. It is supported by the Air Force and the Ministry of Education. 1July, 1999, approved by the Central Military Commission, was formed by the merger of the former Air Force Engineering College, Air Force Missile College and Air Force Telecommunication Engineering College.
