Silicon Lake Vocational and Technical College is a good vocational college. At present, the college has nine secondary colleges, namely, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Computer Science and Technology, School of Automobile and Traffic Engineering, School of Architecture and Environmental Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Cultural Creativity, School of Child Development, School of Marxism and School of Continuing Education.

The school offers 35 applied majors, such as mechatronics technology, industrial robot technology, new energy vehicle technology, infant development and health management, which are close to the needs of local economic development. There are more than 6,500 students in school.

School students won more than 100 in various national and provincial vocational skill competitions, including more than 30 national prizes and 70 provincial prizes. Graduates have high comprehensive quality and strong practical ability. The passing rate of vocational skills certificate is over 98%, the employment rate is over 98% over the years, and the satisfaction rate of employers to graduates is over 95%. It was rated as "excellent" in the 20/6-2018 annual graduate employment evaluation of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education.
