Three check-in methods:
1. Living on campus-about 1000 USD/month accommodation fee (different for each school). Including washing machines, bathing and so on. Only simple hot meals (microwave oven).
2. Host family-the family living in the local area is about 1400~ 1800USD, including room and board. Communicate with local people. Whether you are comfortable or not depends on luck.
3. Go out and rent a house by yourself, about 300~ 1500/ month, depending on what. Cook and wash clothes by yourself.
Generally speaking, cooking by yourself, 300~500/ month is enough.
Accommodation includes meals. If you live in a room, you must also report the school meals (meals, meals plan); You can choose the cheapest one, but you can't leave it out.
American universities provide desks, mattresses, bedsteads and wardrobes. It is recommended that you bring sheets, bedspreads, mattresses, waste baskets and power boards with surge protectors. Mattresses are stained in most cases. The mattress is not very good either. The upper layer of the mattress can be softer/harder. I have never used a mattress at school. There are not many sockets in the dormitory, so bring your own power socket. If there is a protective device to prevent your electrical appliances from burning out. The United States is 1 10 volts. Don't buy it wrong. 36 inches x 80 inches is the length and width of the bed. You may want to prepare your own clothes rack.
If you go to the United States for undergraduate studies, in the first year, some schools require that you must live in the dormitory provided by the school for the first two years. The cost of this on-canmpus is about 5000- 12000 dollars a year. However, which grade of dormitory to live in is often not decided by the students themselves. Many students want to live in a good dormitory, because the price is not very expensive, but they can live comfortably. So in order to be fair, the school will draw lots to decide. At present, the dormitory in the United States is basically a whole building where men and women live together, but one room is still separate for men and women. Generally, there is no separate bathroom at home. Basically, two or three rooms share a bathroom.
