1979 In February, with the approval of the State Science and Technology Commission, the Journal of China Academy of Medical Sciences was established to report the achievements and experiences of medical and health scientists and technicians of China Academy of Medical Sciences in scientific research and disease prevention, improve the level of medical and health work of Academy of Medical Sciences, and strengthen academic exchanges at home and abroad. As a gift to the 30th anniversary of the National Day, the first issue of Journal of China Academy of Medical Sciences was published on September 20th, 1979.

Journal of China Academy of Medical Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Journal) quarterly, 64g letterpress paper, 64 pages. There are works, research reports, experience summaries, summaries, academic discussions, academic activities news, special lectures, minutes and other columns. Each issue is accompanied by an English catalogue, and the works are accompanied by English abstracts. The cover is blue, and the masthead is signed by Comrade Chen Yi. 1979 is a gift, which has been publicly released in China since 1980, and the third issue 1980 has been publicly released at home and abroad. 1982 in order to meet the needs of the rapid growth of scientific research achievements in colleges and universities, the journal was changed to bimonthly. 1982 in order to reflect the integrated management system of colleges and universities, the sponsor of this journal was changed from China Academy of Medical Sciences to China Capital Medical University of China Academy of Medical Sciences from the fourth issue. 1984, the cover of the periodical was changed to beige, and the title of the Chinese periodical was changed to long calligraphy; The text was changed to 80g offset and increased to 80 pages. 1985 With the renaming of Peking Union Medical College, the journal was sponsored by China Academy of Medical Sciences. 1988 in order to ensure the quality of periodicals and strengthen the responsibility system, the names of responsible editors have been published since the fourth issue. In the same year, in order to further improve the academic level of journals, promote the development of scientific research in universities, and meet the needs of opening up and competition, journals began to open to the world, and papers with important innovations and scientific research achievements from outside universities were published in journals. Since then, the journal has changed from an "inter-school" publication mode that only publishes the contributions of the school to an "open mode" for medical and scientific research units across the country.

Since the publication of 1979, Journal of China Academy of Medical Sciences has established four editorial boards. The first editorial board consists of 70 famous domestic experts and professors. The members of the Academic Committee of China Academy of Medical Sciences are all members of the editorial board of Journal, with Huang Jiasi as the chief editor, Wu Jieping, Deng Jiadong and Gu as deputy editors, and Gao as the director of the editorial board. The second editorial board was established in1987+February, consisting of 14 professional and technical backbones, with an average age of 53 years, high professional level, youthful vitality and enthusiasm for publishing. First, Gu is the editor-in-chief, and then Ba Denian is the deputy editor-in-chief. 1In September 1998, the third editorial committee was established, consisting of 28 experts, with Ba Denian as the chief editor and Qiang Boqin, Liu, Fang Fu as deputy editors. The Fourth Editorial Board was established in May 2004, and consists of 43 experts, with Liu Depei as the chief editor and Qiang Boqin, Zhen, He Wei, Fang Fu, Zhao and Qiao as deputy editors.
