Shanghai Tourism College, located in Shanghai, was founded in 1979, formerly known as "Shanghai Tourism College", and is affiliated to Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office. 1980 The Ministry of Education approved its renaming as "Shanghai Tourism College". 1983, under the dual leadership of Shanghai Tourism Bureau and Higher Education Bureau. 1986, under the leadership of National Tourism Administration. 1992, renamed as "Shanghai Tourism College". In 2000, it was placed under the leadership of Shanghai Education Commission. In 2003, it was placed under the management of Shanghai Normal University and merged with the former College of Urban and Tourism of Shanghai Normal University to form the College of Tourism of Shanghai Normal University.
