In the choice of students, the combination of arts and sciences is adopted to recruit talents. In terms of curriculum design, specialized courses and other liberal arts courses are reasonably designed and complement each other, which not only conforms to the characteristics of traditional education and Japanese majors themselves, but also meets the needs of modern society for high-quality talents.
3. International exchanges and friendly cooperation
In terms of international exchange, the Japanese Department has established friendly and cooperative relations with three universities in Japan. 1994, Hunan University and Chiba University in Japan established friendly and cooperative relations. From 1995, Japanese majors send 5-7 undergraduates or postgraduates to study at Chiba University every year 1 year, and from 1998, a Japanese teacher is sent to Chiba University every year as a Japanese public student for further study. At the same time, Chiba University also has 1 year short-term international students and short-term Chinese advanced classes to study in Hunan University. 65438-0995 The Japanese Department of Hunan University signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and now has a cooperative relationship with the University of Tsukuba for short-term exchange of international students and summer Chinese advanced classes. 200 1 Hunan University and Wenjing University in Hokkaido, Japan signed a friendly cooperation agreement. 200 1 Began to accept the summer advanced Chinese course and graduation internship for students majoring in Japanese education at Wenjing University in Hokkaido. Since 2006, 1 outstanding Japanese undergraduate students have been sent to Wenjing University in Hokkaido, Japan for one year. In 2004, the Japanese School of Japan Asia Friendship Association reviewed the cooperation agreement of "teaching in different places and joint training". Every year, an indefinite number of Japanese junior three students are sent to the school at their own expense, and then a teacher is sent to lead the team, which has achieved good cooperation in running schools.
Since 2002, the Japanese Department has invited many well-known scholars at home and abroad to our school for academic exchanges and hold various academic lectures, which has benefited teachers and students in the department greatly. In the past three years, teachers of our department have presided over or participated in three overseas projects, all of which have the cooperation of foreign counterparts; Three teachers have been invited to give lectures abroad; Four teachers participated in academic seminars held abroad and published papers at the conference; Two teachers teach in Japanese universities for a short time; Four teachers have done research in Japanese universities or research institutions; Japanese teachers studying abroad 2 1.
4. Teaching with scientific research and promoting scientific research with teaching.
The Japanese Department has made remarkable achievements in practical research, and the multimedia teaching research and textbook development highlight its characteristics. Our department has always taken the principle of "teaching with scientific research and promoting scientific research with teaching" and adopted a series of measures to encourage teachers to actively declare projects and carry out academic research while carrying out teaching work. In order to improve the scientific research level of young teachers, apart from academic group activities, academic seminars or study meetings are held regularly. With the unremitting efforts of all teachers in Japanese Department, a series of research results have been achieved, which has effectively promoted Japanese teaching in our department.
Since 2002, teachers in our department have undertaken (independently undertaken or presided over) 5 national and provincial scientific research projects and won 3 foreign-funded projects; Domestic and foreign research funds are more than 300,000 yuan; Won 5 scientific research and teaching awards at or above the provincial and ministerial level; 10 awards above school level. Published nearly 40 academic papers and 4 sets of textbooks/kloc-0 in academic journals at home and abroad; Participated in academic seminars at home and abroad and published more than 20 papers.
In addition, Professor Zhang Peixia of our department was elected vice president of Hunan Translators Association in August 2004, vice president of China Japanese Society and editorial board of Japan Studies (Commercial Press) in March 2005. Professor Zhang Yuna was elected as the director of China Japanese Teaching Research Association and Hunan Translators Association. Associate Professor Luo Minghui is the director of translators association of china.
After years of theoretical research and teaching practice, Japanese majors have developed and improved multimedia teaching materials, updated teaching methods and optimized research environment. In the past three years, we have made great achievements not only in scientific research, but also in teaching practice. The Japanese Department took the lead in setting up the course "Multimedia Technology and Japanese Learning" for Japanese majors and graduate students in China, and trained a group of outstanding graduates who not only know Japanese knowledge, but also use computers to process Japanese materials. Multimedia Japanese textbooks compiled by the School of Foreign Languages of Hunan University have been used in Japanese teaching as a second language and Japanese elective courses in Hunan University since 2002. In addition, since it was first published by Higher Education Press in July, 2002, "Japanese Elementary Comprehensive Course" (with CD) has been reprinted for five times, and it has been widely used in Japanese teaching as a second language, elective courses and social Japanese minor courses in colleges and universities all over the country. Beijing Foreign Studies University and South China University of Technology also designated this textbook as a Japanese major textbook. Two sets of textbooks, such as Comprehensive Course of Elementary Japanese edited by Li, are national planning textbooks during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period. As multimedia Japanese textbooks, they have been highly praised and concerned by experts and scholars at home and abroad and Japanese education and research institutions. In 2006, Professor Li Dali's Comprehensive Japanese, Professor Zhang Yuna's Japanese Business Etiquette and Professor Wang Shirong's College Japanese were selected as national 11th Five-Year Plan textbooks, which further improved the textbook construction of our department.
3. The teaching effect is remarkable and the graduates are highly competitive.
The passing rate of CET-4 for Japanese majors is among the top in the school every year; The passing rate of Japanese level 1 test has also been maintained at a high level of over 90%; Since 2002, many students have won prizes in speech and composition competitions inside and outside the province, especially in the speech competitions of "The First Japanese Competition of Hunan Higher Education Society" and "The Second Japanese Competition of Hunan Higher Education Society" held in 2004 and 2005, two students in my major won special prizes respectively. Other students also got good grades. Since 2002, the Japanese major has won 375 awards. Won the 168 scholarship; In 2005, two Japanese majors won the title of "China's image ambassador for the 2005 World Expo" after fierce competition with national 14 provincial and municipal contestants.
The average annual postgraduate entrance examination rate in our department is around 25%. From 2002 to 2005, 36 students were admitted to Beijing Foreign Studies University, East China Normal University, Wuhan University and other universities to pursue master's degrees. Among the graduates, 9 students are pursuing doctoral degrees in Peking University, Waseda University and Tsukuba University. The annual employment rate of graduates is 100%, and most of them work in large foreign-funded enterprises in coastal developed cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dalian and Zhuhai, or in foreign trade, education and other departments, and are engaged in promising and well-paid jobs such as foreign trade, translation, IT, media and college education. It fully embodies the spirit and effect of "strong adaptability, high comprehensive quality and integration of arts and sciences" in the training policy of Japanese department. The feedback information received by the school and the follow-up survey of graduates show that Japanese graduates not only have the same competitive strength as those from famous universities, but also are highly praised by employers for their excellent professional skills and adaptability, comprehensive quality and serious and responsible work attitude.
Although the Japanese major of Hunan University started late, with the efforts of all teachers, it has achieved accurate positioning, advanced school-running mode and outstanding school-running characteristics. We will continue to work hard to make Japanese major better and better in the future.
