The Rise and Fall History of the Central Wushu Museum
The Establishment Process of the Central Wushu Museum

The Central Wushu Museum was originally named "Wushu Research Museum". The purpose of the museum is not only to manage and edit textbooks and books, but also to set up students' Wushu training teams (classes) to train Wushu teachers in order to promote Wushu education. Presumably, Zhang Zhijiang belongs to an academic education institution and applied to the Ministry of Education for filing, but the Ministry of Education denied that they thought Wushu had been eliminated. The Ministry of Education does not advocate this old thing, claiming that if it must be advocated, it can only belong to mass organizations and not to the education system. Make things difficult and refuse to approve.

Zhang Zhijiang found Mr. Li Liejun, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Government, in a helpless position. (At that time, Chairman Lin Sen was in charge of the National Government, and Li Liejun was the second in command. Li Liejun and Zhang Zhijiang were old friends of Yunnan Uprising during the Revolution of 1911, and their friendship was profound. Li Liejun immediately made a decision: since the Ministry of Education does not recognize it, it will be directly led by the National Government and the funds will be paid by the state treasury. On March 5, 1927, 15, the official document number 174, and the journal number 4 1 were approved for filing. The national martial arts research museum was directly led by the national government, so it was changed to the central martial arts museum and issued a declaration.

At this time, Zhang Zhijiang was instructed by the central authorities to inspect the military affairs of various provinces, and Wang Ziping and I were appointed to be responsible for the preparation of the Central Martial Arts School. The preparatory office is located in Hanjia Lane, Nanjing, and several rooms are temporarily borrowed from the Chinese Christian Church. At that time, Li's deputy curator, as well as martial arts experts Ma Yingtu and Liu Yinhu, also moved to the preparatory office.

The founders of the Central Martial Arts Museum include Cai Yuanpei, Kong Xiangxi, Yu Youren, Niu Yongjian, Zhang Zhijiang and Zhang Shusheng. The museum has a board of directors, chaired by Mr. Feng Yuxiang, and a counselor's meeting. Invite contemporary celebrities as counselors, hold counselors' meetings every quarter, put forward valuable opinions and play a constructive role.

The organization of the Central Wushu Museum is divided into three parts, namely, the Academic Affairs Office, the Editorial Office and the General Affairs Office. The Academic Affairs Office is responsible for teaching and teacher training, with a director. The first director was Wang Ziping, followed by Wu Junshan, Wu and Yang Songshan. The editing room is responsible for compiling teaching materials, examining and approving teaching materials, and sorting out traditional martial arts projects. There is one director of the editing room, namely Jiang, Wu Bonian and Jin. These people are martial arts experts who are both civil and military. They compiled a large number of martial arts books and theoretical reports, which played an extremely important role in the theoretical construction and technical dissemination of Chinese martial arts. The General Affairs Department is responsible for administrative logistics, finance and clerical work, with a director 1 name, successively held by Li Zimao, Zhu Yonghua and Pang Yusen.

The martial arts training class for middle school students is taught by Zhang and Zhu Guozhen as the team leader. In the team, Zhu Guolu teaches long boxing, Yang Fawu teaches wrestling, and Liu Hongqing teaches equipment. He is the monitor of the juvenile class and Ma is the vice monitor. In addition, Professor Sun Lutang (deputy director of Jiangsu National Martial Arts Museum) teaches Xingyi Boxing, Professor Yang Chengfu Tai Ji Chuan, Professor Gong Runtian Wu Tai Ji Chuan, Professor Chen Tai Ji Chuan, Professor Wu Junshan and Professor Sun Yukun Bagua Palm and Capture, Professor Ma Yingtu Boxing and Octupole Boxing, Professor Yanqing Boxing and Taiji Whip, Professor Sun's Stick Skill and Professor Zhang Tea Boxing.

The motto of the Central Martial Arts Museum is "Pay equal attention to both martial arts and morality, and cultivate both civil and military skills". The purpose of learning martial arts is to keep fit and resist the enemy. You can't rely on martial arts to fight hard, and you can't bully the good and fear the weak. When you have to fight back in self-defense, you should stop and not kill your opponent. While practicing martial arts, you must cultivate your self. To learn martial arts, we should also learn literature, culture and science. We should also be proficient in various theories of martial arts and digest various teaching materials.

The slogan of the Central Martial Arts School is: "Plant strong plants to save the country, resist aggression and survive". Therefore, almost all martial arts talents trained by the Central Martial Arts School pay equal attention to both martial arts and morality, and Wu, who is both civil and military, is distributed at home and abroad, such as Wu Jiangping from the national system, He from Beijing University, Chairman of Yunnan Wushu Association, Li Heath from Fudan University in Shanghai, Kang from Northeast Normal University, Wen Jingming (deceased) from Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, Chen from Singapore, Gong Bangjie from Malaysia, Liu Zhenyuan from Thailand, Lin Ruixing from Indonesia and Kuang from Myanmar. These people have made positive contributions to the cause of Wushu.
