Hebei University is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hebei Province, and it is a first-class university supported by Hebei Province.

The school was founded in 192 1, formerly known as Tianjin Technology and Business University. The school is located at Machang Road 14 1 in Tianjin. At the beginning of the school, the school was established with undergraduate courses and universities, adhering to the school-running tenet of "cultivating promising young people in China, promoting the modernization of China" and devoting itself to cultivating industrial and commercial talents. 1933, the school was renamed Tianjin Institute of Technology and Business, and the tradition of "seeking truth from facts" was established during this period.

From 65438 to 0960, the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government decided to build a comprehensive university named after the province, and Tianjin Normal University was transformed into a comprehensive university named Hebei University. 1970, moved to Baoding City, Hebei Province. In 2005, Hebei Staff Medical College and its affiliated hospitals were merged into Hebei University. Although the name of the school has been changed several times, its history has never been interrupted and it has developed into an influential comprehensive university.

The construction and development of the school has been strongly supported by the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government and the Ministry of Education. In 2002, it became one of the five universities supported by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education. In 2005, it became a provincial university jointly established by the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Education.
