Tianjin polytechnic university is not a 985 or 2 1 1 university, but tianjin polytechnic university is a full-time general institution of higher learning jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Tianjin. This school has a long history. Founded in 19 12, it was renamed tianjin polytechnic university in 2000, and was selected as a national "double-class" world-class discipline construction university in 20 17.

In 20 18, the university was approved by the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau and Tianjin * * *.
